David ShawDAVID SHAW, B.App.Sci (Naturopathy)
Owner
In the early 80s a health challenge motivated David to start living a healthy, drug-free, organic lifestyle. He managed health food stores in the NSW north coast area for 10 years, including purchasing an Asian and general grocery store in 1998 which he re-created into the Brunswick Heads Health Food Shop. He became interested in natural therapies and studied at the Gold Coast College of Natural Therapies in 2000, becoming a naturopath and sharing a clinic with a physiotherapist for three years. He decided that the education of the community was good career path and applied his understanding of naturopathy, iriodology, homeopathy, massage and herbalism along with his involvement in the community to work in the service of this vision.
David enjoys running, tennis, swimming and working in his organic vegetable garden, maintains an organic and drug free home environment and promotes a healthy mind, body and spirit as the first priority even before supplements.

ABOUT BRUNSWICK HEADS

This quaint old town is situated along the Brunswick River where it opens to the sea. You have the best of everything within easy walking distance: shops, restaurants, motels, a big hotel garden hosting regular music events, a caravan park, a fresh fish co-op at the marina, parks along the river, paddle boats for hire, fishing bridges and breakwaters, walking tracks, beaches, surf, and even a tiny safe beach for parents with children. There is a regular monthly outdoor market, and annual events such as the Bikes and Kites day, the All-Town Collectibles and Secondhand Fair and numerous other festive events unique to Brunswick. The terrain is flat so bicycling is very enjoyable and accessible. Definitely worth a visit, and a lunch break at The Brunswick Heads Health Food Shop and Cafe!
